Duke Rising is a series of posters which sprang from the collaboration with an American film director, Ayoub Qanir. The posters illustrate a science-fiction short story of the same name. Duke is a young man pursuing any leads to find his true identity and origins. He is obsessed with engineering and motorcycle racing. In consort with his robot friend, Ragnarok, he is based in a Barbary village, Touggana, long way down in the Moroccan desert, sheltered by a local sage. Unaware and intrigued by his past, Duke tangles up in gamesmanship between Barbary pirates and mysterious band of crafty fellows who are ready to capture Duke and hand him over to the Legion of Seven.
